Aliens is one of the best films ever made. The planet from Alien has been colonised but when contact with the colony is lost Ripley is called in to join a group of marines on a rescue mission. When they arrive they find the colonists have mostly met with a horrific end and there are aliens running amok. This is intense action with a high level of tension and loads of gore and violence. The film was a smash hit on release and although generally considered part of the sci-fi genre there's plenty of horror here. Directed by James Cameron and featuring a great cast this film is deserving of its classic status.
