Dodgy doctors Herbert West and Dan Cain are up to their old tricks, still obsessed with re-animating the dead; this time around they decide to build themselves a woman using pilfered body parts. The police are sniffing around and West also has to deal with the vengeful head of Doctor Carl Hill. Set eight months after the original this is more deliriously gory fun. Producer of Re-Animator, Brian Yuzna, takes the director´s chair for this outing which was released five years after the original and while the comedy isn't as effective the gore and effects come thick and fast. The plot obviously borrows from Bride of Frankenstein but there is a lot chaos and carnage on display here and this is an effective horror flick.
