Children of the Corn

This is another 80´s flick based on a Stephen King story about a town where all of the adults are dead and the kids run the show. An average American couple stop in Gatlin after hitting a boy with their car but they can´t find any adults and soon run into trouble with the creepy, devout cult of kids in charge. The demonic brats are praying to something evil that lives in the rows of corn and they don´t take kindly to outsiders. This is pretty slow moving, there aren´t many scares, there are plenty of plot holes, the effects are dated to put it kindly and there is nothing much in the way of gore; having said all that I still liked this film when I first saw it as a youngster maybe because the adults are the victims. The kids are quite chilling, especially Isaac and the direction is decent.
