This is a clever and darkly atmospheric film which is artfully constructed, well acted and very unsettling. Ostensibly it´s about a girl trying to get pregnant and having horrendous nightmares in which she is someone else entirely living an alien life in an extremely warped and surreal dreamscape. When elements of her nightmare begin to break through into her waking life she struggles to make sense of it all and the true shocking nature of her experience is revealed. Director Ray Gower builds the tension skilfully and there is a minutia of unsettling ideas and imagery keeping the audience off balance. The premise is excellent and while some may complain about the plot being confusing this works well as a horror film even without the shocking final revelation.
