A nasty virus spreads through Scotland and the government decide to quarantine the whole country. A few years later when the virus re-emerges they notice survivors within the quarantine zone and send in a team to try and find a cure. The set-up is like Escape from New York as Eden Sinclair (Rhona Mitra) leads a small group into Scotland. Once inside everything has turned Mad Max and there are cannibalistic punks roaming the streets of Glasgow. There are also a bunch of guys shacked up in a castle wearing armour and using swords led by Dr. Marcus Kane (Malcolm McDowell). This is seriously action-packed, there's lots of gore and it pays homage to countless great films. Unfortunately this is also chronically disjointed and it isn't anywhere near as good as the films it is referencing.
