A psychotically violent guy named Milton escapes from Hell and hunts down the cult who killed his daughter and kidnapped his granddaughter. He picks up a blonde bimbo on the way and is pursued by "The Accountant" who has been charged with bringing him back to the underworld. This is high-octane, CGI blood-splattered nonsense that doesn't let up for the duration. Cage does seem to be happy to make anything nowadays, one comment I saw on IMDB said he was in the "Val Kilmer" stage of his career - quality control has gone out of the window. Amber Heard still makes him look like Dustin Hoffman as she proves that acting skills are no prerequisite for a career in Hollywood. Fichtner at least brings some tongue in cheek fun to the flick.
