A salvage team heads into deep space to retrieve a derelict ship called Event Horizon which has been missing for seven years. As the crew begin to investigate the ship appears to be deserted but they are not alone and they soon begin to die as they are hunted by an unknown malevolent force. The story is somewhat derivative but there are many genuinely chilling moments and a lot of gore along the way. The direction is good, the cast well chosen and this film didn't deserve the panning it received from the critics on release.
