This is a suspenseful and atmospheric horror from South Korea about a group of soldiers who are despatched to investigate a remote area where a platoon disappeared six months previously. It is slow paced and the psychological horror builds gradually as the soldiers fall prey to supernatural visions and begin to lose the plot. This is a well made ghost story which is visually arresting and while the tension lags a bit things do pick up towards the end and there are some chilling twists and turns along the way. Beautifully directed by Su-chang Kong this is an intelligent movie. It may prove too slow for some people and it certainly isn´t a gore fest but I thought it was an effective chiller.
