If you ever wondered about the aftermath of the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie this picks up right where we left it, with Leatherface flailing around with his chainsaw in the middle of the highway. Ignoring the batch of bizarre sequels that followed, we witness the Sawyer clan's final shoot out. Cut to the modern day and a teen girl, Heather, inherits a Texan mansion and takes her obnoxious teen pals on a road trip to check it out. Turns out her grandmother was keeping Leatherface in the basement, as you do. Our heroine is contractually obliged to expose her midriff throughout and there's a creepy moment when you realize the slutty one is Malcolm in the Middle's girlfriend. Other than that it's a below average slasher with a fair bit of gore, but a really stinky script and a poor cast. The final act is a joke.
