Randall (Nicholson) is an aging publisher down on his luck, his wife is unfaithful and he is being forced out of his job by a younger rival until he gets bitten by a werewolf and undergoes a transformation. Suddenly he is full of energy again and as his boss's surly daughter, Laura (Pfeiffer) begins to fall for him he struggles to keep his appetite for human blood under control. Truthfully this isn't much of a horror film and Randall's transformation is like a thinly disguised allegory for his mid-life crisis, then there's the tedious romance between Randall and the stuck-up Laura. The prospect of Jack Nicholson as a werewolf was sadly more exciting than this film proved to be.

Monster - as the title may have given away this is a werewolf movie
