This is set two years after the original, our heroine Sidney and horror expert Randy are at university but recently released movie Stab based on their horrific experiences seems to have provoked a copycat killer. Sidney teams up with Dewey and Gail again and the trio try to reveal the mysterious killer before it's too late. The rules established in the first film are tweaked for the sequel but as Randy says sequels are never as good as the original films and this is no exception. Sure there are more murders and gore, the action scenes are more elaborate and thankfully everyone cast in the original who survived returned for this effort but the plot is too contrived and the script lacks the same bite. This is still a lot of fun and Craven provides plenty of jumps and thrills it's a worthy sequel and makes for an enjoyable two hours.

Gore - lots of stabbing and blood splatter but this series is about thrills and scares over gore
