A bunch of brain dead National Guard trainees in the desert get picked off by mutant cannibal hillbillies in this surprisingly boring sequel to the 2006 remake. All of the characters are deeply annoying, the direction is dull and although the usual batch of gory deaths are there they're strangely muted. This is predictable, lazy stuff and the idea we are supposed to draw parallels between this and the US troops in the Middle East is laughable. The effects are decent enough and usually I like a bit of mindless cannibal action but this just didn't entertain me at all.
